‘Smuggler’ is based in Alderney (Braye) harbour and is available for all types of charter. She has been custom built with safety, comfort and angling high on the agenda, and is licensed to operate up to 60 miles from shore (Cat 2). She carries state of the art electronics. She is fully insured, and skippered by a fully licensed skipper/ owner Colin Dukes who has been fishing around Alderney for many years and lays claim to be one of the pioneer charter skippers who first came to Alderney with anglers as passengers.
Alderney Harbour
Colin (the skipper) has a Certificate of Competency, and a Local Boatman’s Licence for the waters of Alderney and Guernsey, in addition to a licence from the Lieutenant Governor of Guernsey to carry passengers within the waters of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, including Alderney and Sark. He is also a member of the Professional Boatman’s Association.
Many of the satisfied customers from the days of Exmouth are getting even more enjoyment by coming directly to Alderney and picking up the boat there.
